Artist Statement
"Enlightenment begins where the pavement ends" is a phrase that strikes a chord deep within my being. There is nothing like being where few people are, away from our concrete and steel jungles and enjoying what nature has to show us. I capture images while hiking that tell me a story or make me realize something about my life's journey that I either haven't thought of before or I see it in a different light that causes a shift within me that sends me down a different in life. While processing these images and determining which presentation method I wish to use, they further influence me as a portion of their story needs to be told and it is my job to determine how to best tell the story through the final print.
