Background Information:

When I was 15 I bought my first 35mm camera and started developing my own black and white film and prints in my sister’s darkroom at home. While she taught me the basics of photography I have spent much time over the 20+ years since then developing my own vision and have read some books over the time including the textbook Photography by London and Upton, Ueslmann: Process and Perception, etc. My love of printing in the darkroom on alternative media using Liquid Light has lead me to developing techniques to do the same with digital prints, including a way to print layers of mountains on different layers of plastic to generate an image that has true depth to it.

I also have spent time as a Boy Scout leader and my love of the outdoors and photography just go together. I have a great time while in the back country with my camera to take pictures.
